“Laboratori Casa Nostra” is a laboratory of creation in instant composition based on the piece by SLMFV titled Casa Nostra, premiered at Mercat de les Flors in December 2022. Both the piece and the laboratory are based on the study of the gangster film genre or otherwise known as mafia cinema. Drawing from the methodology developed by SLMFV, various tools will be shared that enrich and emancipate creators when facing real-time composition. From SLMFV, we understand instant composition as a creation methodology in which all scenic variables are composing simultaneously. In this way, we will enter a workspace in which we will investigate and delve into the relationships that exist between bodies, sound, light, scenography, and costume.
Si Los Martes Fueran Viernes (SLMFV) is a space for the creation and production of scenic pieces, which began in 2018 in the city of Barcelona, led by artists Valentina Azzati and Milagros García Salgueiro. It is a space created to generate a community around the study and practice of instant composition. Among its productions are the cycle Capítulos de la Casa (2018/2020), Los Cortos Viernes (2020/2021), the Festival Enemigos Íntimos (2021/2022), and Casa Nostra (2022). Since 2018, they have been working in Barcelona with the aim of creating a space for the study and practice of improvisation. More than 150 national and international artists have participated in their productions, and they have collaborated with Mercat de les Flors, La Caldera, El Graner, Akasha Hub, and Utopia 126, among others. The artistic team of SLMFV includes: Valentina Azzati, Milagros García Salgueiro, Aina Lanas, and Cuque Cao.
