From the main project “Confluences”, an artistic residency carried out at CAMPUS PCS/DDD23, arises HENDA I XALA, a first development co-produced with DDD24, where Wura Moraes, based on her relationship as an interpreter-creator with her father, Mário Calixto (1960-1996), dancer and choreographer, proposes to develop a grammar, a language, and a bodily discourse, nourished by the materials provided by the dimension of video, where the past, present, and possibilities of the future overlap. Wura Moraes is a Portuguese-Brazilian dancer, born in Amarante (Portugal), who lives and develops her choreographic and investigative work in the triangulation between Africa, Latin America, and Europe, combining the multiple formations that shape her artistic identity.
