The Moujuïc Festival (initiated in 2021) proposes a weekend of dance programming in the spaces of Castell de Montjuïc. The programming is co-curated by Graner and complemented by a mediation proposal that accompanies the performances, focusing on audience engagement and accessibility. Moujuïc is a festival that was born in 2021 to delve into the world of contemporary dance, movement arts, and the languages of the body in its scenic hybridizations; a weekend that invites discovering the diverse plurality of the emerging and creative fabric of the city. It’s a profoundly democratizing proposal, with the aim of becoming an initial contact point in the world of performing arts. The festival aims to bring this discipline to audiences who have not yet accessed it, through a mediation team available throughout the festival, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the performances. All shows are adapted to the environment of Castell, creating a dialogue between DANCE, ARCHITECTURE, and HERITAGE.
Graner has collaborated with the festival since its beginnings, curating it in dialogue with Castell and the festival’s coordination figure. The first edition took place on September 18-19, 2021, the second edition on September 17-18, 2022, the third edition on May 20-21, 2023 and the fourth edition on May 25-26 2024.
