IPAM (The Window for the Internationalization of Catalan Dance) was an executive working group created in 2011 by the sector, both organized and independent, the reference institutions, and public administrations. This working group met periodically to design the operational strategies and methodologies for this event, which took place in July in Barcelona, within the framework of the International Performing Arts Meeting (IPAM) as part of the Grec Festival of Barcelona.
Its objective was to devise mechanisms for the internationalization of Catalan dance and, with an inclusive approach, to include artists belonging to other realities and contexts. Thus, IPAM_Dansa was a platform for co-production and showcasing aimed at artists with projects feasible over the following two seasons, as well as national, state, and international programmers. With IPAM_Dansa, the aim was to create a context of trust that would enable international co-production and promote dialogue and the exchange of knowledge.
The 2013 edition of IPAM_DANSA took place in Barcelona from July 9 to 12, lasting three and a half days, bringing together independent curators, artists, distributors, and directors of creation centers, arts organizations, and/or festivals, within the Grec Festival framework.
Organized by the Grec Festival, Mercat de les Flors-Graner, with the collaboration of the Barcelona City Council, Institut Ramon Llull, the Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia, and AC/E. Supported by APDC and ACPDC.
