DATA is an artistic practice, created by Lipi Hernández, centered on the act of dancing. DATA proposes to move through form from the intersection between the embodied study of systems that represent movement and our structures of thought. This journey is articulated through an approach to the Tree of Life as a Kabbalistic symbol of knowledge and the origin of creation, from which to inquire into the search for one’s own poetic gaze. A space to awaken and orient desire. DATA brings into presence a body that contains all created bodies. In practice, we sometimes recognize ourselves in what feels familiar; however, at the same time, we hold and are, in essence, all possible forms. We are the possibility of the infinite within infinity.
Within the DATA project, “Bodies and Methodologies” proposes a gathering addressed to teachers, dancers, mediators, and people connected to the living arts, interested in movement practice and in the construction of a body on stage.
Practical information:
- Participant profile: People with experience in the living arts, dance, theatre (professionals or people with non-professional stage practice).
- Dates and times: Friday the 6th from 4 pm to 9 pm, Saturday the 7th from 10 am to 7 pm, and Sunday the 8th of February from 10 am to 3 pm – February 2026.
- Location: Graner, centre for the creation of dance and living arts (Jane Addams St. 14–16, Barcelona: how to get there).
- Fee: €50.
- Limited places, access through an open call from January 15th to 28th via this FORM. Priority will be given to those with maximum availability.
The sessions will have a practical focus and, at the same time, will open up a space for reflection in which to share questions, concerns, and thoughts that move through us as we move, bringing body, thought, and experience into dialogue.
