Casa Nostra Laboratory by Si Los Martes Fueran Viernes is a workshop for instant composition creation based on the SLMFV piece titled Casa Nostra, premiered at the Mercat de les Flors in December 2022. Both the piece and the workshop are based on the study of the gangster film genre or, alternatively, mafia cinema.
Building on the methodology developed by SLMFV, various tools that enrich and emancipate creators when facing real-time composition will be shared. From SLMFV’s perspective, instant composition is understood as a methodology of creation in which all scenic variables are composing simultaneously. Thus, we will delve into a workspace where we will investigate and deepen the relationships between bodies, sound, light, scenography, and costume.
Directed at professional artists in the performing arts (mainly dance, theater, and live arts) working from the language of the body and interested in instant composition, wishing to learn about and/or deepen their knowledge of the work of If Tuesdays Were Fridays. Previous experience in instant composition will be taken into account when selecting participants.
