In collaboration with the APdC, El Graner hosted a new edition of Motors de Creació, the event organized by the Association of Dance Professionals of Catalonia (APdC). The APdC held the 4th edition of this event on December 17, 2022, featuring various activities, including workshops, a performative lecture, a round table, and an improvisation jam, among others, designed by Mireia de Querol and Jordi Cardoner, together with the APdC management team. The goal of Motors de Creació is to promote the discovery of the richness of the movement arts sector through the diversity of four artists with different profiles, fields, interests, and trajectories: AzkonaToloza, La Súbita, Constanza Brncic, Julia Irango, and Jorge Nieto, who shared how they work and how body and thought are intertwined in the creative process.
El Graner provided all its spaces for the event, hosted prior residency days, and managed the event’s technical complexity with the support of El Graner’s technical coordinator, Conchita Pons, who worked closely with the APdC team to meet the artists’ needs. It was a highly enriching day of knowledge transfer, exchanges at El Graner, and the facilitation of new types of events in the space for the professional sector.
