PEA (Artistic Expansion Program) was a pilot project that engaged in dialogue among culture, innovation, and business, aiming to develop effective and respectful organizational models and collaboration methods within artistic creation. PEA focused on researching and establishing a fair relationship among cultural agents, both nationally and internationally, centered around new management practices. Supported by Fundació Banc Sabadell, El Graner-Mercat de les Flors launched this pioneering pilot project, emphasizing the viability of dialogue between performing arts and economic profitability and organizational structure.
During 2017-18 (following an open call), PEA featured a research group of 5 creators/companies who participated for two years in this transdisciplinary research program: Societat Doctor Alonso, Aimar Pérez Galí, Bárbara Sánchez, Jorge Dutor, Guillem Mont de Palol, and El Conde de Torrefiel.
Actions of the PEA program during 2016-17 included:
- Ideation and creation of the PEA program (autumn 2016)
- PEA Project (March 2017, open to the sector): Advising with Alfons Cornella – Infonomia (Verne method to create a culture of innovation, innovate from the business model, organize innovation cells, develop prototypes, and launch projects, always from within the organization’s members who analyze their activity and develop prototypes to present to other working groups and evaluate their economic sustainability if realized as projects).
- Meeting in Pontós (April 2017): Closed meeting of the research group.
- Participation in the DNA Festival in Pamplona (May 2017): The festival hosted a meeting of the working group in dialogue with the festival’s CoLABoratorio and the artistic context of Navarra.
