Sharing few things – Workshop with Mellina Boubetra

We have invited Mellina Boubetra to lead an open lab for the local community, where she will share the materials and methodology she is developing during her residency at Graner, within the framework of the centre’s cross-residency programme, in dialogue with La Briqueterie CDCN du Val-de-Marne (Paris). Together with her, we have created a context for transmission in which she will open the working studio and offer a lab for both professionals and non-professionals, under the title Sharing few things (Compartir algunas cosas).

“I am working on a new piece about a group of people trying to turn on a bathroom light with a motion sensor that has malfunctioned. I am in an early research phase and would like to share the ideas and movement concepts I have developed during my residency at Graner. I am interested in exploring absurd and direct movements. My methodology is based on a strong ability to observe what our own body does, while remaining open to what emerges spontaneously.”

The lab is aimed at both professional and non-professional dancers; no experience is required. The workshop will be held in Spanish and partly in English.
