The Territory(ies), Community(ies) and Artistic Practices project aims to articulate a shared research space between several creative factories around artistic creation with communities and in the territory and, in parallel, promote laboratories of community creation. To develop joint research, we have developed the Lab de Labs methodology, started in 2023. This practice, proposed by Caro Novella, has allowed us to build a common space for reflection and dialogue between the creation factories and all the agents involved.
The Lab de Labs is a methodological research proposal from the arts (PaR, Practice as Research) and feminist science. It is a situated, transdisciplinary research device, open to the particular curiosities of the group, concrete and grounded, which avoids consensus despite aspiring to a horizon of shared meaning.
During 2024, addressing the need to define the future of the project and see who should be the agents who develop it, the guiding question is proposed: how and who do we continue? The questioning is anchored in transversal axes of research (more specific questions) that we are in the process of defining through interviews with all these agents (ICUB, the factories that are participating and those that want to explore the possibility of participating in the future) .
The research will explore these questions, but it also aspires to investigate and offer tools for artistic mediation, which we will co-create in folds. As a community laboratory, the Graner will continue this 2024 with Les Bacanals, a cycle of collective dance sessions animated by Los Informalls.
The Territory(ies), Community(ies) and Artistic Practices is a collaborative project of which the Ateneu Popular 9 barris, La Central del Circ, Graner and Fabra i Coats: Creation Factory are part and which has the support of of the Creation Factories Program of the Barcelona City Council and Pla de Barris.
