Silvia Batet studied the Professional Degree in Classical Dance at the Mari Cruz Alcalá Dance School (Valencia) and the Higher Degree in Choreography at the Institut del Teatre, in Barcelona. Formed in urban dances by teachers such as Storm, Kanga Valls or Fidel Buika, her choreographies combine different physical languages to speak of contemporaneity. She is the winner of the Premi de Dansa de l’Institut del Teatre 2020 with her latest creation, Oblivion, which will premiere in long format at the Grec Festival 2021. Other of her pieces have been shown in different national competitions and festivals, among them GraciasxFavor ( Santander), L’Estació Escènika (Barcelona), Russafa Escènica (Valencia) and two consecutive editions of the Madrid Choreographic Contest (2017 and 2018), where he was awarded the prestigious danceWEB scholarship for the ImpulsTanz in Vienna (2018). He has worked for companies such as La Fura dels Baus, and has been a resident in choreographic centers such as La Caldera Center de Creació and La Visiva (Barcelona). She is currently a member of the APDCV (Associació de Professionals de la Dansa de la Comunitat Valenciana).
