The residences program at Graner is the main gear of the day-to-day operations at the creation center. It’s a diverse program, constantly changing, and it transforms the activity, life, and actions of the facility year after year.
Graner’s team accompany the projects selected through public calls, dedicating time to processes through observation and active engagement to identify needs and assess how the Graner program’s branches can intersect with each process.
At Graner, we work to ensure that the creation and production residencies at Mercat de les Flors resonate with the programs of the center and our closest territory during their transit through Graner.
We collaborate on network residencies with linked structures or festivals, aiming to enrich and nourish the moments of convergence at Graner for the artists. Additionally, we devise territorial-level strategies for the development of projects.
The cross-residency program aims to generate new dialogues and channels of exchange for artists at the local, national, and international levels, always with close support from the various involved centers.
