In 2021, the Aplec (previously called 48 hores juntes) was launched. As a result of the feedback received from the artistic commission in December 2020, with the participation of the residents selected through the 2020 public call, and as part of the actions to open up the governance of the center, there arose the need to create meeting contexts among the creators who are part of the annual public call.
Thus emerged the Aplec, the meeting space held at Graner (1st edition in March 2021), where creators selected through the public call share different activities to have a more comprehensive understanding of the center and the creation support program (both as a program and in terms of content). We walk through the neighborhood with some neighbors, share with the whole group the starting point and roadmap of the project hosted in residence during 2021, and share (creators and Graner team) the center’s overall project for 2021 to provide feedback and contributions.
Participants in the first meeting on March 21st: Lara Brown, Cris Blanco, Julián Pacomio, Anto Rodríguez, Xavier Manubens, Antes Collado, Fernando Gandasegui, Raquel Klein, Leticia Skrycky, and Núria Guiu (artist associated with Graner 2020-21).
Participants in the second meeting on October 21st: Anto Rodríguez, Cris Blanco, Lara Brown, Julián Pacomio, Antes Collado, Fernando Gandasegui, Raquel Klein, Leticia Skrycky.
