Boombeta 2022

5TH EDITION OF THE CYCLE OF ARTISTIC ACTIONS, ENCOUNTERS, AND WORKSHOPS BOOMBETA, IN THE LA MARINA NEIGHBORHOOD.

Boombeta is a cycle of artistic proposals and encounters that, within the framework of the Barcelona Grec Festival, focuses on the long-term relationships we have been building with and among our closest environment: our neighborhood. In 2022, after inhabiting this specific neighborhood of the city, La Marina, for ten years, contact points were activated with neighbors through artistic actions that, with a practical attitude, generate crossings and connections in the context where they are situated.

The program of the 5th edition of BOOMBETA, from July 1st to 22nd, 2022, includes projects that have transited through Graner during the year and that approach communities articulated outside the scope of practice but linked to it from a need and sensitivity for creative activity.

PROGRAM (all activities are free):

JULY 1st – Espai Jove La Báscula (outdoor) – from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: JAZZBETWEEN – Marina Pravkina

Improvisation device with dancers from different disciplines and DJs. Free entry without reservation.

JULY 2nd – Graner – 7:00 p.m. (90 min.) THE GARDEN (process opening) – La Taimada

A visual tableau about human sensuality and fragility. Reservation required at info@granerbcn.cat.

JULY 7th – Graner – 10:00 a.m. CONTACT CARTOGRAPHY (practice-workshop) – Dianelis Diéguez

Working day with guests/from the neighborhood.

JULY 8th – Graner – 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. DANCE THE INTERNET (workshop) – Guillem Jiménez laSADCUM

Workshop for young people (from 16 years old) on how to build a body from virtuality. Registration at info@granerbcn.cat.

JULY 15th – Graner – 7:00 p.m. LOVE FOR PLUTO – Alejandro Curiel, Gemma Polo, and Les Aventureres.
