Kha Villanueva

I am Kha, non-binary transvestite femininity, actress, performer, stage creator. Group psychologist with a transfeminist and anti-racist perspective. I focus my work on the exploration of the collective psyche through performance and the stage device as a tool for personal and social transformation, focusing on transvestite and dissident bodies. I have been working in processes of my own and collective creation since 2018:Dispositivo de encuentro con (2018), PORNOTOPIA (2020), HAMBRE (2021) i H(X)ME (lajaula) (2022). I have developed my stage career with artists such as Tamara Cubas, Improvavel Produçoes and La Taimada among others. Graduated in Psychology from the UAB and postgraduate in Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama from the UB. Extensive experience working with groups with various groups at risk of exclusion.

Residency project

g0-g0 is a staged transvestite conspiracy, a test space where we twist the power dynamics that cross us, a collective exercise to re-appropriate our bodies that is born from the urgency to give space to our transvestite desires and question radically who looks. We use and subvert the power that the stage device gives us to collectively experience a simulacrum of other possibilities for the distribution and circulation of power.
