The Aplec 2022 consisted of two meetings, one in-person at Graner and one online to conclude the year. In the first meeting, creators selected through the public call interacted through various activities, learned about Graner’s creation support program, and shared with the entire group the project hosted in residence during the year. The second meeting provided a new space for coexistence where creators shared the journey of their projects. The starting point and roadmap of the project hosted in residence during the year were shared with the entire group, and the center’s global project was also shared (by creators and the Graner team) to provide feedback and contributions.
The meeting spaces with resident artists are articulated as Artistic Commissions where Graner also presents its project, which enters into dialogue with the artistic collective to allow for its metamorphosis. A first in-person meeting was held at Graner in March 2022, and to conclude the year, an online meeting was held to share how the projects had evolved and where they stood after their time at Graner (efforts were made for the second meeting to be in-person but scheduling was not possible). During this second meeting, an open dialogue space was generated in which artists could assess their residency and also make proposals to strengthen and/or transform Graner’s relationship with its residents.
