Ça marche

Ça marche is a performing arts company founded in Barcelona in 2015. It develops contemporary creation projects that explore the relationships between language, body and community, through research and dialogue between different artistic disciplines. Its most recent work collaborates with Deaf people, incorporating Deaf culture and sign languages not only from the standpoint of accessibility, but as drivers of creation and transformation of performing arts forms. The company combines creation, research and cultural mediation, and works with artists and institutions at local and international levels to imagine other ways of relating to one another, perceiving and sharing the artistic experience.

HAPPY END (2026) is a performance piece with young Deaf people that delves into adolescence as a threshold territory: a moment of transition in which celebration and loss coexist, in which identity is being built while mourning the worlds that are disappearing. A time when what once held the world together no longer works, and what is to come has not yet taken shape. It is not merely a passage, but an experience of misalignment, of an interrupted sense of time, almost a small, intimate apocalypse.

The piece is structured as a chain of stories that do not seek to close, but to remain in motion. As in One Thousand and One Nights, each story opens another, not to arrive at an answer, but to sustain the continuity of the tale. In a world that is dissolving or transforming, these teenagers do not so much explain a world as set it in circulation, keep it active, begin it again. From this logic, HAPPY END poses a question that runs through the whole project: what happens when the future is no longer a clear promise? And what remains after this rupture? Perhaps not an answer, but remnants: minimal forms, gestures, fragments of relationship that allow things to go on.
